Meet Christopher Orobosa Omowa, a visionary leader, filmmaker, and creative director who has dedicated his life to driving social change through the power of art. With a passion that knows no bounds, Christopher has been weaving a narrative of hope, justice, and community development, one project at a time.
As the Creative Director of Chris Charis Concept, Christopher has produced six (6) impactful short films and a stage play, each one a testament to the transformative power of art. But his work goes beyond the screen and stage. He is the driving force behind the ‘Healthy Heart Community Project,’ a medical outreach program that has touched the lives of over 500 community members.
Christopher’s commitment to social justice is also reflected in his role as founder and Co-founder of impactful Social Work Initiative, various dynamic platforms that connect social work students, organizations, and communities to promote collaboration and positive change. His leadership skills were further honed during his tenure as National Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Social Work Students (NASoWS) 2024/2025 tenure, where he initiated and led impactful projects and programs for social work students across Nigeria, some of which are; Mental Health Awareness Campaign (MHAC), Operation Preach Social Work Initiative (OPSWI), FUSION (Where Art Meets Tech), Action for the Future Campaign (AFTFC), Impact Campus Tour (ICT), Learn to Lead (LTL) etc.
Certified with over 8 years of experience in project and program management, Christopher has developed a unique ability to organise and mobilize young people to take action for change. As the Dynamic Youth President of the Household of Peace (The Purpose Driven Church Int’l Inc.), he continues to inspire others to join him in making a meaningful impact in their communities.
Through his work, Christopher reminds us that art is not just a form of entertainment, but a potent force for good. His story is a testament to the power of creativity, passion, and dedication to drive positive change in the world while leveraging on effective project and programme management skills, team work and effective communication. He is a graduate of the prestigious university of Benin (UNIBEN), Bsc department of Social Work.
