Mental Health Awareness Campaign (MHAC) 3.0 – FUSION BOOTCAMP: Where Skill Meets Passion

Concept Note

INTRODUCTION

The Mental Health Awareness Campaign (MHAC) is thrilled to announce its third edition, FUSION BOOTCAMP, taking place on November 7-8, 2025, in Benin City. This innovative initiative combines mental health awareness with creative skills development, aiming to equip participants with practical skills, promote mental well-being, and build a supportive community.

Our idea, “Empower Youth Entrepreneurship through Art-Tech Fusion,” brings together the creative strengths of Chris Charis Concept and the innovative solutions of FUSION Solutions Hub to empower young entrepreneurs. Here’s a brief overview of what each entity brings to the table:

Powered By;

Chris Charis Concept

A social enterprise that leverages performance and visual arts to address social issues and promote positive change, empowering young persons as catalyst for change. Through initiatives like the Healthy Heart Community Project, we have tackled pressing concerns like hypertension in underserved communities. Also via the Mental Health Awareness Campaign (MHAC) we have been able to empower young persons with knowledge and sustainable means/tools to address mental health related issues they face. The second edition organized in November 2024, gave birth to the FUSION program for youth development and empowerment.

FUSION Solution Hub

A multifaceted enterprise that provides innovative, sustainable solutions to complex problems. We offer services in renewable energy, project management, personal and business development, creative solutions, as well as training for skill development, all aimed at driving growth, efficiency, and success.

What Problem Does our Solution Address?

Our solution addresses the pressing issue of youth unemployment and lack of entrepreneurial skills in our state. Many young individuals lack access to the resources, training, and support needed to start and grow successful businesses. This leads to a shortage of innovative solutions to real-world problems and limited economic growth.
Our solution also addresses the need for creative approaches to entrepreneurship training, as traditional methods often fail to engage and inspire young individuals. By leveraging art and technology, we can make entrepreneurship training more accessible, engaging, and effective.

BACKGROUND / OVERVIEW OF FUSION PROGRAMME.

We’ve developed a comprehensive program that provides training, mentorship, and resources to young individuals, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in entrepreneurship. Our program leverages art and technology to foster creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills, enabling young entrepreneurs to develop unique solutions to real-world problems.

The program was launched in November 2024 with a Conference tagged FUSION: Where Arts Meets Tech, a pilot program that impacted 45 young persons with foundational knowledge in art and tech.

The second edition was an Art Exhibition tagged FUSION: Where Arts Meets Passion. An evening of creativity, compassion and connection, an avenue where we showcased creative art works created by young artist and provided them with the opportunity to sell their creative art work and talk about their passion for art as a catalyst for change.

This edition is tagged FUSION BOOTCAMP: Where Passion Meets Skill. In this edition we’ll provide access to expert coaching, networking opportunities, and incubation support to help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable businesses.

Program Goals

Our goal is to create a pipeline of young entrepreneurs who can drive economic growth, job creation, and innovation in our state. By harnessing the power of art-tech fusion, we can address the issues of mental health among young persons, unlock the potential of young individuals and empower them to become change-makers in their communities.
